Over the years Sciencewise has supported over 70 public dialogues and currently supports about 5 major public dialogues a year.
As part of sharing the insights and learning from these dialogues we are starting a series of informal “lunch and learn” sessions. Our aim is to inspire, build confidence, dispel myths and address questions on the use of public dialogue in both research and policy contexts.
The series will delve into particular dialogues crystallising the learnings and hearing directly from commissioners as well as sharing potted insights from across the range of supported dialogues. Each session will also have dedicated time to explore participants’ questions and issues.
The first session will be held on 25th January, 2023 and will explore the impacts Sciencewise supported dialogues have had and the elements underpinning their success drawing across the independent evaluations and the soon to be published Sciencewise report: “How can public dialogue deliver better outcomes?”
