We are pleased to announce the Sciencewise innovation testbed! A selected number of projects will be funded each year which will sit within this space. The aims of the innovation testbed space are to:
- Encourage novel approaches to public dialogue
- Highlight to commissioning bodies how best to support dialogue projects with high degrees of innovation
- Allow for learning on best practice through independent evaluation
- Showcase where innovation is happening
Dialogues within the innovation testbed will have a few differences to other dialogues we support in that they will:
- Evaluate as a major component for the innovation features asked for considering both the impacts on methodology and against the Sciencewise Quality Framework (essentially building learning on the impact of the innovation)
- Ensure contractors describe their methodology clearly – either as part of the report, in an appendix or in a separate report
- Ensure the video and/or creative outputs also capture a layer of the innovative methodology
